{"id":584,"date":"2010-10-04T08:46:09","date_gmt":"2010-10-04T15:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/berkonomics.com\/?p=584"},"modified":"2010-10-04T08:46:09","modified_gmt":"2010-10-04T15:46:09","slug":"good-board-members-are-as-valuable-as-good-executives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/berkonomics.com\/?p=584","title":{"rendered":"Good board members are as valuable as good executives."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Perhaps this is the natural conclusion from the several insights previously explored.\u00a0 While the CEO and management offers the vision, strategies and tactics as well as the proposed budget, it is the board that controls with its votes the execution of strategy, the expenditure of cash, the taking on of debt or new equity, the very direction of the company as well as its ultimate health.<\/p>\n<p>The most important person in a corporation usually is and should be the CEO.
