If an employee is meeting expectations and getting along with managers and colleagues, they shouldn’t have to do back flips down the corridors to expect to keep their job. This ‘cult of personality’ thinking in the workplace discourages individuality and punishes otherwise talented people who may simply lack strong social skills.
