					<description><![CDATA[This one struck a nerve. I am pretty much a social media agnostic, even a Luddite in that area if you will. There is so much noise out there about each new app and each new feature and I don&#039;t have the time or interest to keep up with most of it (I make an exception for LinkedIn). But indeed, if someone can bring you expertise in a new area that might help your company, you do need to listen with an open mind. The trick is to separate all the flavors du jour from those that will actually bring lasting value and improvement to the company. So I think the coaching has to work both ways; after you&#039;ve been schooled on the new thing, make sure the presenter has thought through and can articulate the strategic values of what he/she is proposing. In the case of being the founding CEO of a gaming company, I can see where you had no choice but to immerse yourself in the product in order to understand it. I can relate -- our son is a master gamer and I have no interest whatever.]]></description>
